It's a known bug, was the same way in FM07. Sometimes, after changing players player instructions, the keepers instructions change into some freaky ****.

Am having the same problem. I always set his instructions to Goalkeeper i.e. Stay back and ultra defensive. However sometimes when I make a sub or a tactics change or even when I have done nothing his instructions just changed to attacking automatically.

It's been happening since FM06. I think it's when you make a sub. For example if you bring a striker off for someone else, the keeper seems to adopt the strikers instructions for some reason.
