When I was new to FM whenever I used to issue an ultimatum I used to get the boot because I had the job for only a couple of days lol. Now I have realised that, most of the time, if you have been at a club for a long time and have been doing well then your ultimatum is successfull.
think it was fm06 i had a really long game going with juve and i was in need to strengthening the squad due to some long term injuries to some key players. I had been winning leagues and cup's year in year out. Asked for bigger transfer budget in january window, they declined, so i gave them an ultimatum and i got booted!
Never- in ia career with liverpool on FM07 in about the 7th season just won the treble and got a lame budget of 5m even though my bank balance was +200m and i was 2m over my wage budget asked for extra transfer funds i got a reply we haven't seen a return of the money you've spent this season, issued an ultimatium and go the sack..
In FM07, I had managed Everton for 11 seasons and won 4 titles. After the last title, we had 550m as the bank balance but the stadium was still a 40569-seater. And the board said that they didn't have the funds to expand Goodison Park. I issued an ultimatum and they still didn't expand Goodison but didn't sack me either. They just said that as I was a successful manager they would overlook this particular outburst.
