Default Cup Bottlers

Does anyone else have problems with their teams under-performing in cup competitions?
I (as Chelsea) can win the Prem easy, but any cup comp, my team just fall to pieces.
I've just tried the "no pressure" team talk, and got stuffed at home by Inter!!

I would say you treat cup games, particularly in Europe as important as those in the league so you pre-game team talk should reflect this. Say you expect them to win or to do it for the supporters.

The only time I use the no pressure option is if I have won the leage with games to spare. Never use it at all in cups.

Of course this only applies when managing at one of the top clubs, the no pressure option is okay to use if at a lower league club playing a team from a higher division as it then reduces the effect on the morale if they lose.

I feel my team bottle cup games too. As Mangotsfield in dafuges challenge, I notice that when playing a non league team, I'm in BSP, my team always seem to bottle it and get a stuffing.

Also noticed it in big games, top of the league clashes, as I'm near the top, and when I play somebody in and around me, my team always struggle. Might be why I'm still only in the Premier and not League 2 and beyond

Tbh Inter is a pretty decent team If you lost to AFC Telford then I would agree that it was under performing

It's not only Inter or teams like that, it's mid to lower Prem teams that you beat every week I struggle with. I have found the team talks don't seem to make any difference, and I never had that same problem in previous FM's.
If no one else agrees with me, then maybe as Juande says, I'm cr*p, although my Premiership winning record may disagree with you!
