I'm managing Liverpool and I think I set my manager level as Sunday League footballer, but I have had the most abysmal start to the game I just can't believe it.
I drew with Middlesbrough lost to Birmingham, Chelsea (ok I can handle that), FC Kobenhavn and was in the process of being hammered by Bolton 3-0 down with about 20 minutes gone, when enough was enough I bottled it and decided to get some help and maybe start afresh. I managed to get about 10 games in, winning against Arsenal at home and Derby away as well as breezing past Debrecen in Europe.
I have two players playing well, Gerrard and Torres, the rest are just average. I'm not playing any wild and fantastic tactics just 4-4-1-1 or 4-3-3 (Chelsea style).
What I have noticed is I seem to concede very easily? I control possession but just can't hit the back of the net as easily as the opposition seems too. I've had an unusual amount of disallowed goals from corners (for pushing) and seem to be really unlucky with ref's decisions. Almost once a game there's a controversial goal scored against me, yet if I whine I get reprimanded by the FA? In short I need tactic advice and maybe some help with improving squad morale. Has anyone done well with Liverpool and if so please offer some advice.
Thanks.
