I too lost my virginity to that dear, dear mistress. Always missed, but never forgotten.

I may load her back on soon, but would feel like I was cheating on the current version!

Fm2007 was the best for me but there is very little wrong with FM08 from my experience except for confidence.

In terms of potential, I think FM08 is the best. Maybe it's just me, but I didn't notice any of the match engine problems until I installed 8.0.1 (except possibly holding the ball until it was stolen and a goal scored, and even that is much worse post-patch, or at least so it seems to me). And, on the plus side, the flow of play is much more realistic than it was in 07. But, as a finished game, I think I have to agree that 7.0.2 was probably the best of the lot.

For nostalgia, I still like 01/02, with the varying background shots of different grounds (depending on what team you had). At least, I think that was 01/02. But there's no way it was anywhere near as complete as 08.

7.0.2, though i still believe (that is, i hope) that 8.0.2 will be the best. Missing playing at the moment
