1) Pursue my coaching credentials (prolly take 4-5 years)
2) Buy a non-league club in the meanwhile and get work experience there first.
3) Push for promotion and scout for players using FM!

I think you'd be rather disappointed as great players on FM aren't all that likely to be so good in real life. But as you'd own the club, it's your money to waste.

I'd love to buy a Blue Square side and be its sugar-daddy.

Some other ideas:

- a premium trip to the next World Cup, including great seats for Final, Semi-Final, several Quarter-Finals and Round of 16 games.

- follow a Premiership season by catching (at least) one match at each ground

- invest some of the money in the U.S. "soccer" architecture, trying to get our standard up

- found a sports-management game company

I'd pay to re-design the London 2012 Olympics sign thing which looks like it has been designed by a three year old. I would also love to by a more powerful computer and have my own Football Manager room would be awesome

I'd buy my local club Chimney Corner, they are about half a mile down the road from my countryside house and have a shed for the fans to stay dry in. I say fans but I mean 3 men and a dog.

I'd be in the game though because they are in the Northern irish 2nd division lol.
