Dies anyone else find after playing a game for 8 to 9 seasons it is hard to find another team to start a new game with. I have been playing with Barnet and I am in the 2015/2016 season playing in the championship. However I have lost interest slightly with this game and need something new. This is by no means a request for good teams etc but I was wondering whether anyone else has the same problem of finding a new team after being with one team for so long
The problem with what you've done is this (In my opinion: )
1. You've built up e-lationships with players. (Some regenerated), thus deeming it difficult to comprehend another game without them in it.
2. The time and effort invested in your long term game, far outweighs taking a new team in the game.
3. Your loyalty to your long term team has increased, meaning its difficult to take over at another team and give the same effort you gave barnet.
In my experience, If i get bored with one long term save (doesn't happen often), It's because I'm bored with the game. So I'll either do one of the following...
a. Stop playing FM for a few weeks, put more time into other leisure activities, and come back with a fresh head.
b. Come onto the forums, spend a lot of time here, renewing why I love the game, and why I play it.
c. Go to the Challenges forum, create my own sign up and be happy.

Good luck.
All excellent points. I see where you're coming from owen, I always pick a team to start my first game with then struggle to start a new game with anyone else.
Here's a hint for in game, try international management for a couple of seasons. IMO it's boring and not enough happening by the time you've finished a coupkle of seasons you'll bite any team who offers you a contracts hand off. I played 10 years with FC Bayern was getting a bit bored and took over Argentina, didn't have the best of times and was really bored so I accepted Schalke and am loving the regular games again.
I have suffered from the same thing, in the past I have been guilty of then starting the game again with a new side or in a new country.
A few times I've moved clubs then regretted it and given up on the save in my current game I want to go from confrence south to England manager so that challenge encourages me to want to change clubs and clime the ladder, if you have more than one country loaded I find a move to a different nation excites me us there are a whole load of players I've never really looked and before and un earthing a gem is always a great way to keep you intrested.

Before you accept the new job save the game then when you are in charge of the new team save agin under a different title
Works wonders, as I don't even want to know how many long term games I wasted by moving clubs before I figured this one out. I moved from Bayern to Milan in a recent game and really regretted it after a while so was brilliant to be able to revert back to the old club.
I'm in a similar situation. I'm about five seasons into a 'career' game which started at Bari and then on to Napoli.
I've really enjoyed playing this one, but lately I've grown a bit tired of it. Now my Napoli contract is due to expire (and I doubt the board will renew it).
I now have to decide to continue with this game, out of work and looking for a new team - or start again.
Long-term game, great enjoyment

Power through it to another long-term game.
I haven't figured out what's different about that third, fourth, or fifth start that lets me power through it to an enjoyable long-term game, its never been "the same" trick each time.
Oddly, the best long term game I'd had in a long time was in FM07, where I started in Mexico and traveled to Russia, Holland and Germany before finally landing with Inter in the Serie A.
