My tech hardware knowlesge is dummy-like, but I am a bit puzzled cause I recently upgraded my computer to accomodate more Leagues and a stronger DB in the game (running on a quad processor, 2 Ghz, 2 GB hard disk, good RAM, etc.).
I've been able to include 12 countries/16 Leagues and have decent game speed but at the start of a new game, there's just no option to use a Huge DB. The largest option available to me is a Large DB.
Also, I've been somehow concerned about including every player from many countries (would like to from South American/African powerhouses to give me sense of reality on the long run and some random countries in Asia or Eastern/Scandinavian countries with less tradition in the game to add flair to my player choice).
Could anyone help with those questions? Sorry if they seem dummy - I just wonder how to get a huge DB going and wonder the impact of a number of countries having all players available on the game performance (ie. speed).
I would suggest you avoid that file to make it work. I used the same thing in Fm07 and the game was so unstable, It didn't last more than about 6 months.
There's no more Huge database, but you can retain players from all nations, which is practically the same thing, just takes a little longer at start up.
