Okay, so I'm playing as Farsley Celtic in the BSP, newly promoted, 50-1 pre-season odds, etc etc. My second fixture of the season is at Halifax, who come in at something like 7-1 favorites. The pregame media story is that "Farsley face impossible task...". My backs, except for the couple I've managed to add since I got here, are painfully slow and quick forwards have them for lunch.

So, I sit down and design a new tactic (which, if I continue to have success with it, I will post in the Tactics Forum) for use against attacking 4-4-2s. Basically, it's a 5-3-2 with a sweeper AND a stopper (DMC), both of whom mark zonally while the rest of the team man-marks. The whole team plays ultra-defensive except the strikers who are kept with an attacking mentality to stretch the defense as much as possible. The idea is to prevent to the greatest extent possible the opponent getting the ball to the strikers while allowing for quick counters.

Lo and behold, I manage a 1-1 draw despite having a man sent off at the 10:00 mark. I'm thrilled. I'm ecstatic. An away draw against a superior team with 10 men. What could be better (realistically?). Except that when I check "confidence" after the match, the fans are "disappointed at the team's failure to create scoring chances").

Since the pre-game odds are supposed to reflect expectations of the team, this struck me as very, very odd (to say the least).

The Fans reactions are sometime ludicrous- so best ignore them

Did it say "Despite the great result the spokesman feels that the fans are disappointed by the lack of chances the team produced" or something similar?
I don't see anything wrong in this imo.
In real life i also hate defensive anti-football.

No, it just said that the fans were disappointed at the lack of chances.

As far as "hating defensive anti-football", do you like it when your overmatched side comes away with a point in the fight to avoid relegation?

personally, i would be! had the same in my game with the mighty Chippenham Town!! also had a 0-0 draw with Newport County,a division below us, and they were happy with the performance against a more reputabe team???

if this thing dont get tweaked in the patch then there's summat wrong...
