By changing the value of players, however you do it, you are cheating.
If you were playing Halo or something like that would you edit how strong the bad guys are, just because "there's no way they could be that good in real life"?
To be honest it's an sigames patch job. It would be realistic if players weren't worth as much but then you'd have less transfer funds and in todays market the best young players rarely leave.
Yeah but I dont think thats actually the point of the Sale Value thing. It's more like the amount a club would have to come up with because the club REALLY don't want to sell the player.
If a big club wants to keep a player bad enough they would refuse even the most ridiculous bid for them.
Could you imagine Ronaldinho going anywhere, for any price. I don't think Barca would sell him even for £80 million! Or Shevchenko at Milan - the club absolutely love him and he loves the club so it would take an obscene amount of money to get him to move.
FM can't predict out of the blue things like that though. I'm not sure about JoaquÃ*n but Torres is Atletico through and through. He's been their captain since he was about 18 and no-one in their right mind would have predicted him, to leave.
Wanting to change the game just because a team announces they might sell a big name player is almost as picky as those people last year who wanted a patch for FM'05 just to show that Liverpool had won the Champs League.
However, getting back to your original point, there's a couple of ways I know of that you could change sale values. And they both involve using the MCFM editor.
You can't change the sale value directly but you alter things that should end up changing the sale value (eg. Ability, Potential Ability, Contract Length).
i think it would cost £40million for either player unless they stated they would want to leave their club. try to unsettle them, if they want to leave try offering a lower amount, you may be pleasantly suprised, or the club may be awkward and not sell( as also happens in real life.)
i dont think they will leave their respective clubs until they want to leave, so therefore, no-one will pay £40m for them. I dont supose that until their contracts begin 2 run out any clubs will make their interest concrete and then some offers may begin to come in.
The second the player states he wants to leave the price will shoot down to around the £20m mark i should expect.
Sale value is decided by the game's AI anyway. Based on the value of a player, plus how much he is liked and needed by the club. You're asking to change something that is generated by the game itself and it can't be done.
