Before I start I would like to add that there is no way that I could make this editor myself. I do not have the first clue about programming but I do have an idea which might start someone off on the right track.
My idea would be to create some sort of Instruction Generator, speaking tactically.
I think it is fair to say that the majority of FM players want to set the formation and pick the team, but I like many do not like picking all the other instructions to go with it. It is time consuming, boring and too many of the instructions are ambiguous.
Working on the assumption that the match engine uses tens of thousands of calculations to calculate the result of each in-match situation. Surely there will be a method of creating an educated guess as of what the calculations are. Plus we already know a number of the variables.
The calculation must take into account the following variables:
- Player Stats
- Tactical Instruction
- Morale
- Condition
Most of these variables can be extracted from the game in a similar manor to the way in which the FM Scout and MCFM do it.
Now, the role of the editor/tool would be to use the following variables to give an educated guess as of what will work to make your team perform to an optimal level.
Then generate a set of instructions that the user can use to make his team perform at a good level without spending hours looking at instructions and tactical theory.
