They are save game compatible. If you use the refresh media comments in options it updates the media

so you keep on refreshing from options to get new media changes or just once when you start the game Michael?

You start a game, then when you EITHER add in comments by yourself OR download new media comments THAT is when you would refresh the Media Comments from the Options menu so they work in your saved game.

If you did not refresh then your saved game would not use the new media comments, if you started a new game after you installed the media update however then the new game would have the updates and there would be no need to refresh.

To sum up, you only need to refresh the media comments if you have adeed in new media files after you started a game.
