Default Using a database other than the one in the DB folder to start a game?

I thought there was a way you could start a new game with a database different from the one in the db folder, but I can't seem to find an option to do so anywhere in the in-game menus.

I assume that would be an EDT/DDT issue? If so, how would you make one?

I ask because I'm playing an online game but I still want to be able to start a game of my own with some database tweaks.

It's done through command line options on the FM shortcut. Best thing is to create different desktop shortcuts for your different databases. Have a look at the SI Base article for more info ...

So I put in what should be the correct command line:

<pre class="ip-ubbcode-code-pre">"CProgram Files\Sports Interactive\Worldwide Soccer Manager 2006\wsm.exe"--database_location=experimental</pre>

But Windows XP tells me it doesn't work. I put the code into the target area under the properties menu like it says in the link you gave me.

Also, I did put the database in CDocuments and Settings\&lt;username&gt;\My Documents\Sports Interactive\Worldwide Soccer Manager 2006\db\ like the link said as well. Did I do something wrong here?

Well I guess I did do something wrong. I forgot to add a space between .exe and my command line.

Oops.
