I spent some time after reading some of the training threads on here and designed 4 schedules but since then I have done nothing apart from keep an eye on it.

Do people tweak the training schedules or just leave it alone? Post #5
It is so easy and intuitive to use, that I simply fail to understand why some do not use it.
How can one be bad at moving those sliders?
In my oppinion it is all really simple. Two things to keep in mind: Certain positions demand certain attributes, and the tactic or style you want to play also has certain demands.
No one needs to be told that their DC do not need as much shooting training as their strikers, but on the other hand need enough not to completely loose their composure.
Or if you want to play possesion football, it is quite obvious passing and teamwork is rather handy.
One thing which does not seem quite logical, and the only thing I might (and only might) complain about, is that Heavy training schedules only seem to cause more injuries in the first season. After that I do not get many - infact I think there are too few injuries in the game now, especially with heavy schedules.

i suggest that you experiment with a couple of your youth team. put a striker on intensive attacking-like training and reduce his defending. do the opposite for a defender. i did this for 2 seasons and WOW it does work. you can then reduce their intensive training to medium and up some other areas for a season. it really does make a difference. i used to just leave it but rarely got any players up through the youth scheme, therefore a waste of time, but now i do this every time. i get at least 2 players per season who can fit into the first team squad. i then either loan them out or use them as subs. this helps to improve their "mental attributes" and you end up with a decent player (eventually). it takes time (just like in real-life) but it is worth the effort. try it!

TWEAK IT ! ...... however not alot...try using it on one of your better youth players. but only knock up their training of the things that they are not so good at so you can see the improvements...
