Tactics & Training Tips

It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

Default Retraining To Other Side

Just wondering... I have a multitude of right sided wingers etc in Aaron Lennon, Theo Walcott plus i've also got Cardenas and Raul Garcia who will play in the middle.
So, how will these players do if I retrain them to become left sided attacking midfielders. Will they be just as good, will it work ???
Thanks
Ian

I always find that as long as they are happy with their training, you can retrain them in a new position without any problems. I try to make my midfielders as versatile as possible

Just make sure they can use the other leg. It should be 'fairly strong' or more, IMO. Otherwise, he'll have to stop and turn his body to make a cross, and thus render his separation speed useless, while leading him to take more long shots at goal. Just like IRL.

Thanks for your posts guys.

That's the answer I think I was after. Some of these players only use their other foot cos they got two socks for Christmas so will look carefully at that. Good tip !
