It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

well, that comment probably didnt help, but it made me bloody laugh!! thats why i love forums.

Indeed!

Though Newcastle United really aren't as good as everyone makes out. If Titus Bramble is first choice at your football club you've got serious problems.

titus "the tit" bramble. some of you will remember him being a "wonder kid" in earlier versions. another example of potential not reached eh? haha

The key with newcastle is to use martins as your main man. He will create goals out of nothing. always make him numero uno target man, even if owen is back.

Solano and duff are also valuable assets. give them lots of the ball on the wings.
And when i started my game as newcastle, i offloaded dyer and moore as they are way underated in the game, and you dont really need dyer anyway, just give zog some more game time in the midfield and you can get a good 5 million off dyer to splash on your defence. I find Tal ben haim is a really good buy.

Hope some of this helps.

Oh and dump off carr for this player called moritz volz. he is really worth it.

Cal Jam, this is what you have to do. Pick yourself up, son, we can do this.

Bring back Mirandinha, Philly Albert, and Malcolm MacDonald. Get rid of Titus 'the woeful' Bramble, Kieron 'Dire', and flog Obefembiembiarrembi 'Happy Feet' Martins; yes he's an olympic sprinter, and yes he has the touch of a nerd in the playground.

Find yourself a nice narrow and defensive formation (4-5-1 maybe) and half of your problems will be solved. When 'dodgy legs' Owen returns, flog him too and bring in Rob Lee to bolster that midfield. Once he arrives, you can get rid of Emre 'who's really an Arab, not European' Bezuflogoloohoodoo. Put Rob Lee on long shots often and he'll bang them in like the good old days.

If all else fails, go Sheffield United and I bet you win the league in the first season. Good luck mucker, I think you'll need it.

Cal Jam i do not understand the amount of people who cant believe you carried on with this game. I would like to say well dont to you for still being there at the end but i, like you, would not quit a game halfway through just because things were not going my way.

All i can propose is getting cheap buys in for a long slog in the Championship. Should be fairly comfortable ride back up to the Premiership if you can keep the core of the team.

Good luck.

counter attacking seems to work well for newcastle!

i played a 4-5-1 with 3 accross the mid 2 att wingers and a lone striker, worked extremely well! finished 3rd, 4 points from winning it!
only cos we lost the title decider against man u away 3 games from end!

sell emre and buy a defensive midfielder to cover the crapness which is the CBs :thdn: play Taylor and Moore as CBs. If you sell given you scould get in about 9 mil, use 6 mil of that to sign Carew and use him as a target man, plenty of headed goals. Then buy young players, lots of them cause if you get relegated again youll need some players to stay
