Advice on using 2 big (target men type) strikers upfront?
Can people please tell me if they think it is a good idea or not, and why?
I initially thought it would not be a great idea, but i'm not sure.
For example, with Wigan, i have Heskey and E. Johnson, both good target men, but both quite different. I wondered what kind of tactics could be employed to use their differences to enable them to play with each other effectively.
Would it be good to use the two target men type players (possibly with side-arrows) and a pacey, accurate striker in the middle, in a 3 man strike force? And if you think it could work, how? and would you advise it over the big/big combo or even the simple big/small combo?
thanks, Rob.

I would use Johnson as a more advanced mentality than Heskey and ask him to close down a lot more. Heskey can hold up the ball and maybe use him as a Target Man to pump balls up to. Johnson is quite pacey so ask him to run with ball and forward runs.
