Anybody else tried this yet?

In case anyone is interested I actually finished the above season in 2nd place with 89 points, but lost in the play-off final.

I missed out to a Halifax side who put together a 41 game unbeaten run having lost their first game of the season.

Any previous season, 89 points would been enough for 1st place :-(

Will give this a go with my Notts Forest team.

Will report back as soon as i can but it may be after the weekend have to fly back to UK.

Have tried this and found that the tactics are very good.

I have set the 2 DC to ultra defensive and no creativity.

Also i am going to set the passing to mixed rather than the direct as I have good passing skills within the squad.

Will report back after a few more matches.

Have now had 3 straight league wins and lost to Tottenham in league cup on Pens came back twice to draw 2 - 2. Should have won the game except for some bad finishing.

Please give this tactic a go and help ozzieg with some suggestions and tweaks.

At least I know the tactic isn't just a one-off for me.

I'll try the tweaks you and bigl have suggested and see if I can't get myself out of the ECN.

Well I have started on my other pc a new game, this time I am managing Scarbrough who have a
-10 points at the start.

I used the above tactic for my last three matches after strugling with another tactic that I had been given.

I have noticed a few things and will list them as follows:-

1:- When it is windy e.g. Gale then use a high tempo and short passing

2:- When the match is wet and the pitch is brown then set to high tempo and direct passing.

3:- If both wet and high wind then use high tempo and mixed passing.

My record so far

Farsley 0 6 Scarbrough
Scarbrough 2 Vauxhall 0
Worcester 1 Scarbrough 2

I will test this tactic through the season but this may take a while as I fly back to the UK on SAT and return to Spain on SUN.

I have also found that in the Conference north or South that if you have a striker with pace then they cause mayhem in the back four.

Your tactic looks very similary to a friend of mine.
He allmost always get good result and finish in the top, even with teams whom are soposed to figth against relegation.

I would like to try your tactic, but cant find the downloadcenter. Where is it?

You will get a response on your tactic when I have played 10 matches.
