Default "BluntBlade & Fuss & Box Midfield" inspired tactic

I've been an avid reader of this forum. I've read and tested various tactics, applied various theories and tried various reccomended/suggested things (for eg tweaks).

Ive tried, tweaked and tested Cleon's bluntblade and his box midfield tactic, the minimal fuss tactic and the box tactic. From studying all instructions of the tactic, the style of play, the advantage, the disadvantage etc.. i've decided to create a tactic basing on these three 'discipline' but making sure it suits to the players i have. I wanted to create a tactic that gets the best of my players at Liverpool FC.

My intention is not exactly to tell you guys this is a super tactic or it brought me 5 consecutive European success. not at all. Ive tried this for 10 games with liverpool. So far, its quite OK particularly at Home. Not so much for away games. I'd appreciate if somebody test this tactic and report back stuff like :

The success achieved using the tactic, what are the disadvantage, what tweak make the tactic better, what kind of players is most suitable, what did you do in improving the tactic particularly against teams better than you etc etc.

It's a basic 3-2-2-3 formation. I'm sorry for the no screenies, i'll provide it later today. But here's the team/players instructions. Followed by explanations.

FORMATION SETUP

3-2-2-3

Right Centreback and Left Centreback on Sarrow

Two DMC's just upfront the 3 centreback

Two MC's just upfront the 2 DMCs [ same setup in Box Midfield ]

The two MC's on long farrows.

The right and left side striker on barrows.

I also sometimes changed the tempo. I never tried with counterattack ticked though. I was told that counter attack wouldn't work with mentality more than 8. It'd be interesting to see if somebody tested this tactic with counterattacking.

i would like to pull this or a simialr tactic off but i think no width will be an issue. especially away from home as you seem to be finding out.

Actually thats what the sarrowed SCs are for. Well, from the look of the setup.. the sarrowed strikers will provide the width. The problem i have is the supply to the 'wingers' always to their heads rather than their feet. Bellamy and Garcia isnt exactly good at jumping.

If anyone did test this tactic.. any criticism, comments, feedback are highly welcomed. I really want to make this formation work.

I am curious why you play such a massive width with short passing? Especially with only three at the back teams are going to find it easy to get past your defence.

Try decreasing the width to suit your short passing game. Maybe decrease the mentality of your DMCs so they aren't too far ahead of the centrebacks. So the only way opposition is going to get past you is on the flanks, which is probably already the case anyway (or through the middle cause you're so spread out with such small numbers?). Could be wrong though
