If you look at all the top clubs id say 90% of their players have 15 or over stats in determination. coincidence i think not. even players who you would not exactly say is determined in real life i.e ronaldinho has excellent stats for determination. Have these players been "given" these stats so to say.
So how important is it to have over 15 determination in most players to actually go and win something?
The more determined players, the more likely they will perform consistently, work harder to save a match that's not going in your team favor, won't be affected significantly by criticism or loosing streak. Basically, for the top leagues determination 12 is sort of minimum. And even in lower league it makes sense to favor determination a lot, because average technical and physical stats in those leagues are crap anyway, so determination is sometimes the only factor that decides player's performance.
hmmmm im starting a new game and getting rid of anybody without 15+ determination and only buying players with it. It will give my squad personality all the same so i should see less whinging at media talks i give atleast, and make it easier to spot the lads who cant take the pressure i would presume.
What does it measure: The player will not give up. Its related to the current score time and left to play. A player with high determination will ignore those two factors and keep playing to the end of the game. It also helps when going for challenges. A player with low determination will give up easily. It is also an importanf attribute off the field (training, recovering from injuries, etc.)
