Tevez is a handful for me, he’s complaining quite a lot and it’s only a matter of time before he walks out of Upton Park for the last time. I’m really just waiting for an offer that I can’t refuse. It seems like it’s a smaller chance for a takeover if you’re successful. I had a pretty good first season and now the chairman is happy to stay. Also heard about other people that’s been fired bye the new chairman so I wouldn’t be to excited regarding a takeover

In my first season, I don't think I sold anyone of note, just looked for good deals on young talent (Nyatanga and Marvin Williams), you have a good enough squad once you get a couple extra bit part players to easily finish in the top half of the premiership and get a decent run in one of the cups (if not a couple, but it gets hard with the fixture pileup if you get injuries).

Im halfway through my first season and sold Carlton Cole(1.9m) and Dailly,Newton and Jimmy Walker to help lower the wage bill!

Im a few games into my 2nd season drew with both Arsenal n Man U which wasa great achievment i think.

Transfers In
Glen Johnson Loan (decided to bring him in as he was in the favourite players list of the club)

Douala 700k (can play on either wing and as striker, was bought from Portsmouth who where one of the relegated clubs i sent my scouts to)

Eduardo Ratinho 4.2m (right back who Tevez recomended from his old club, only 19 aswell)

Igor Akinfeev 14.75m (an old favourite from the previous FMs who my scout spotted in this game and told me was twice the player Robert Green is, played well last season for his last club 22 clean sheets in 24 and 7man of the matches)


Transfers Out

Marlon Harwood 3.3million (didnt score or play well in his 4 starts last season).

Tony Stokes Free

Roy Carroll 2.1m (had to sell him to raise some cash for Akinfeev)

Hayden Mullins 3.6m (played well in the first season as cover for Mascherano ubt decided to cash him in)

hristian Dailly 1.4m (great first season as cover, but cashed in on him so i could buy a new righback Tevez recomended)

hey guys, just in pre season of 07-08 and saw this thread... finished 1st season in 5th, won FA Cup, beating the Gooners 3-1 in the final... had a fairly easy run to the final. Tevez was unsettled all season due to being subbed too often, I play a 4-5-1 so he and Ashton were rotating. Best signing was Curtis davies on loan from Chelsea after they bought him, immense!! Tevez won top goalscorer with 22 in the league, at one stage he and Ashton both had 15 and were top of the chart. I too bought Cardenas and have high hopes, but also got Figo (a mistake, far too pricey wages) and serginho from Milan, did great til he tore his hamstring. Signed Ian Walker as back up keeper due to initial injuries to the keepers. Have just got Soldado on a free from Real Madrid and he's looking good, 4 in 4 in pre season. Keep awaiting news of potential takeover, but nothing so far!!

I started a game with West Ham. I'm doing quite well 7th after 15 games and unbeaten in Europe. Best result: Beat PSG 4-0 away.

I sent Cardenas, Vecchio and Kosstadinov on loan to feeder club Luton for experience.
