Also where would be the best place to strenghten the side... Maybe at the back i was thinking
I think both Noble and Reo-Coker is best suited as central midfielders. One of Reo-Coker strengths is his ability to run from 16 to 16. If you use him either as DM or AM you will limit his possibilities to do this.

The team is strong enough in the start to a high mid table finish, if you really want to change something I suggest buying one extra central defender to partner Ferdinand.

I haven`t had any problems with Mascherano, he haven`t received and red cards for me yet. Sounds really strange, is he sent off for hard tackles or something else?

End of first season
End of first season and I must say that the season ended better than I could hope for. I ended in 6th place in Premier League but the biggest surprise is that I won the EURO Cup after a 3-2 victory against Tottenham. Dean Ashton was my top scorer, bagging 38 goals in total, 27 in the league just one goal behind the top scorer Darren Bent. Reo-Coker was the boss in midfield and my new left winger /striker Alvaro Recoba showed that he added a new strength with his extreme technical abilities.

I’m now going into the summer hoping to sign at least a couple of players that can strength the first team. I really want a central defender to partner Anton and a new right back that can challenge Pantsil. I’m afraid I’m losing Tevez so if I’m unlucky I’ll need a new striker to.

I’ll had some problems with my training it doesn’t seem like any of my players ratings are increasing, half way through the season they decreased quite a lot and now their back as on start of the season. I have four and five stars on each coaching category so I don’t understand what’s wrong. How’s it going for the rest of you?

I was going to start as the mighty West Ham when I got the game but went with Valencia instead as I had so much fun with them on the demo, anyway I was wondering if anyone can tell me what Mark Noble is like, he was great on the last game and I'm hoping it's the same on this one, thanks.

Picked West Ham for my first game in FM2007 and so far it has been pretty successful.

Started out by training pretty much everyone really hard and dropped it back a bit to stop the injuries and to make sure everyone was fairly happy with their level of training. Tevez was probably the worst, he hated the hard training schedule!

Picked up just a couple squad players for the first season, really aiming at young talent that wouldn't mind playing bit parts...

Lewin Nyatanga (from Preston I think) was an absolute star in his first year, plays DLC and performs equally as good in both, I usually played him as a DL and that allowed Konchesky (who I was training more as a midfielder) to play ML, worked a treat. This was due to Etherington under performing.

Another decent signing was Marvin Williams (got him super cheap), plays either flank as well as Striker, so very verstile, ended up being named signing of the season...

Also got Lassana Diarra on a season loan from Chelsea and was servicable back to Mascherano and Reo-Coker in central midfield.

Ended up around 8th in the league, made it to the league cup semi-final (lost to Arsenal), Euro Cup semis (lost to Tottenham), so overall a fairly successful season.

For season 2, I went on a bit of a seeling spree, ditching out a lot of unneeded backup and promoted a lot of younger players to the reserves, out went Mullins and Zamora, as well as Dailly. Jimmy Walker and Lee Bowyer on loans (will try and sell in January).

Signed up Lucas Neill and Clint Dempsey as backup/to push other players for spots in the team and it seems to be working fairly well. Neill has been great at RB so far.

The big plus was I was able to hold onto ALL my first team from season 06/07, Tevez is currently always unhappy and wants a bigger club, so I may have to sell, he is quite good in the AMC position of my 4-4-1-1 though and had the most assists in the first season.

Overall, pretty happy, trying to promote young players as much as possible, Noble turning out to be a class act. And there are some real talents that came through into the reserves at the start of the second season, one 16 year old has already had his first game in a league cup match.

Hey guys just started off with the mighty hammers!

First off doing quite well with them probably better than i thought in the league and in Europe. Tevez really holding the team. Although hes been sent off 4 times already this season so i cautioned him about this then fined him a weeks wages, he accepted this and then said he would be better.

Tevez

My Team

Did anyone else get problems with Tevez? Mascherano seems like he has got his feet on the ground compared to Nutter tevez.

Cant wait for a takeover! Come on Media Sports Investment (MSI) take me over! Loving this game
