Hi All,

I'm in my first season with the gunners and in the January Transfer Window. I'm currently coming 5th (poor...) and am 8 points behind the leaders Chelsea..

I've had problems consistently scoring goals in the league....maybe it's my tactics...most likely is... Plus I don't have total confidence in Lehmann.

So - both these players have agreed to sign after accepting a contract but I can only afford one of them......Frey as a long term keeper would be awesome - but in people's experience is Milito a goal scoring machine???

I'd really like to push for the league in my first season but am struggling....so please - advice - Frey or Milito???

Get Frey for sure even though Lehmann have ridiculously good stats in FM2008 but he is 37 so dump him for good.

You dont need an extra strikers you have the like of..

if you are having trouble scoring i think you must tweak you tactics...

Yeah I need to tweak my tactics...Eduardo hasn't done anything for me yet but hopefully he will.

u also have Barzite and Merida to come through if you play a very attacking midfield these players will outdo the likes of hleb and rosicky any day of the week!

Lehmann is very good in the first season mate although he declines rapidly after that. So I never offer him a new contract after season 1 but also, dont sign a new keeper in season 1 as he's good. Season 2 I try to sign a good keeper and have tried to get Frey many times. But they always want 40M odd for him! Thats not going to happen. But yeah, Frey is brilliant so definitely get him.

As for Milito, I dont think you need him tbh. Dont play Eduardo mate, he's not as good as Adebayor & RVP. I know the coach reports say he's the best striker in the squad but in truth he doesnt score that many. Put Ade upfront with RVP and give Robin a free role. They should both be banging them in.
