Cesc Fabregas has recently stated he wants a new challenge, now I'm currently in 2014 and his current contract expires in 2017...

Should I keep playing an unhappy player(although his morale is still quality) or look to cash in is there a solution to this challenge request??

nah get rid. I always treat my players as if it was real life. Avoid unhappy players like the plague, i mean its cesc so keep him until end of season or something unless you can get an immediate replacemnt.

If you keep playing him and win some titles by the end of the season I think he'll be fine again. You have a long time to go before his contract expries. If he's still not happy with 2 years left on the contract, then sell him. Till then try to keep him happy bu praising him when apt and winning some trophies.

I've never managed to solve the problem completely but I know in the past when a player has said that they want a new challenge, I've transfer listed them and a few months later, when you look at their general happiness, it says 'doesn't want to leave the club'.

You can then change their status back to important first team player. However, when I did this, it said 'may want a new challenge in the future' so I think it's just a matter of time before they get fed up again.

In brief, I'd start looking for a quality replacement and see what the best price you can get for him is.

Indeed gents, Its sort of the opposite regarding the trophies though. I have won absolutely evreything in sight and unless he's ****ed off with being the most succesful gunners' captain of all time...I'm at a loss...

We'll see what the end of season brings...if no change then I'll be looking for a ncie bid from my rivals...
