I decided to start a new game as Man City, but have no idea who would be good signings for them! I have about £27mil transfers after adjustment, and apart from the adjudgstment,, the only thing i have done is ask for a feeder club!

Man City need a striker. A good striker that is. Get Zarate and Briand if you can. That should set you back by about 15M. Sell Samaras & Vassell if you can. Zarate, Briand & Bianchi should be enough. Stancu is an obvious addition as well.

Get a CB in too. Samba for about 1M and you cant go wrong. Else Ignashevich for free is a good deal too. That should take care of your defence. No more additions required imo.

You need a DM badly. Sun Jihai is the best you have after Micah which is not good enough. Flamini on loan would be useful else go out and buy Zapater for 7M release. Else pump about 12M for Veloso.

Hopefully you'll have about 7-10M left after that. Just buy Matias Fernandez for 10M and you're set I reckon. You should be able to challenge for title with that easily imo. Atleast a CL spot for sure. :thup:

Not sure abnout Briand, between him and Fred i think. Briand is about £13mil, Fred the same. What do you think about Martins, 13mil, and Owen, 9mil?

Trying to get Traore from Arsenal, how much do you think i will have to pay?

Traore would cost anything from 7M-20M. Thats the least and most I've seen him go for in the first season anyway.

Fred is MUCH better than Briand. So I'd get him if they're both same price. But you should be able to get Briand for 10M tbh. Martins cant hold a candle to Fred especially and Owen, although good, is not as good as Fred and is older too. Not to mention, he would demand a ridiculous salary. AND he's injury prone. So forget him.

i had a game with man city that i played for 5 seasons ... and won prem in first season, and 3 times after that.
the players i bought in first season were...

javier chevanton - striker from sevilla. cost about 2 million, he scored 27 league goals 1st season, then 20 for next season but then i sold him.

harry kewell - youll no all about him, i pushed petrov onto the right wing as i dont rate geovanni whatsoever.

i also loaned sebastian leto

buy rafael van der vart- 15 league goals at elast every single season! i bought him for 12 millplus 50% next fee in first season... now worth 30 million.

olivier dacourt on a free transfer. that solved my dm problem for at least 2 seasons before i brought in nigel de jong, and later on pirlo.

you should also buy mario balotelli whilst he is still young and cheap, he becomes a major star as does henri saivet.

eidur gudjohnsen i got for 900k in 3rd season... he was class for about a year and a half, great comin off the bench.

drop petrov and get milner on the right, milner still holdin a place in fifth season even though i now have kaka, mikel, van der vaart,marchisio, lago (definetly buy him hes a left mid from arca c)

also buy van den borre, bojan,

do not sell elano! even when barca offer 30 mill at ernd of first season which chairman made me accept :@

drop richard dunne, because he is worthless, and play corluka and richards in cb ... and buy a new left back as garrido is poo. moretti from valencia served me well for a season or two before i switched my formation to 3 at back and bought agger and coloccini to fit in to the defence...

kenichan, thanks, but alot of the players you mentioned (Bojan, Gudjohnsen, Iago, Balotelli, and Saivet) wont be interested in coming.

Are there any keepers who are worth buying? Enyeama doesnt want to come

Isaksson is pretty good and Hart & Schmeichel become good. I think both should be decent backups. If not, try to get Almunia on loan from Arsenal. If you want to buy, Agliardi from Palermo would cost about 7M and is excellent. Have had him as my number 1 at Arsenal many times. Or just stick it out till Jan and Enyeama should be happy enough to come by then.
