(I posted this in the general forum, but I guess this is the place to ask)

Hi folks - I need some help..

I bought the game on the releaseday of EP4, and I am playing with the moralbug (therefore doing ok)

My problem is that I cannot attract players or pay for them...

I have 0 in transfer budget(as last year) even though I was promoted (I am mangager of Exeter). Since there are no players without a club (well a few but they are old or dont want to go to Exeter), and all the youngsters has to be compensated for (£30 000-350 000) I cannot get players.

In two seasons I have bought ONE player and I get no new players from my youth factory... In the same period I have sold NINE players(getting no cash)... If this continues for a few more seasons my team will be grey players only or 17 year olds from my youth hostel....

Sad but true....

Well - what do you do to get players in?

I have tried to offer 0 for a lot of players just now, and actually got one... could this be a good strategy since there is no youth dev compensation?

I think there is a strong correlation between the SI moral and the morale bug, but I do not dear discuss it here...

Far be it from me to correct you Merk but isn’t the Morale bug ar result of SI having no Morals? Flogging an bug riddled game to the poor unsuspecting public. Money grabbing B@stards....

I put that one in there to appear slightly cynical.

Well my youth factory doesnt produce anything cause there is noone there! The youth coaches have been sent home to their misses to produce some kids, cause they were just playing cards at work (or standing outside McDonalds trying to recruit kids for footy)...

No wonder you're not getting any youth players if you're using a factory. Factories don't make players, they make materials.

The word factory was just to spice up my post a little. In reality its a hotel which rents rooms by the hour. Doesnt produce many kids though

Do you get a message when a young player has been promoted? I know you do in CM3, but I am not sure about CM4 (I havnt gotten a msg about it in my game, but its only two seasons)
