The joy of LLM for me is simply;

Achieving (relative) success (or failure) entirely upon my own merits.

No just doing things because the game allows you to do it, not just signing players you've never heard of because someone else has told you they're great, not playing a formation that resembles a straight line from one penalty spot to another.

Missing out on that vital win because you refuse to ctrl-alt-del, and coming back stronger from the experience.

One of the joys for me is competing in that first 'big match', whether it be a minor cup final, a playoff, or a giant-killing attempt in the cup.

Win, lose, or draw, it's the fact I've took a bunch of no-hopers there in the first place.

The big joy/s for me are purely just surviving a season with a squad that has been built up from scratch (often it ends in disaster for me but thats life), much like donald has said. Those sort of clubs dont come along often and its a worthwile excersise for me taking the job there.

When that season has passed with me remaining in the league and therefore in a job, i couldnt be more happier

The best part for me is to work hard with a team and when it all goes wrong and the board sack you, to have another job offered to you!

to know you've done a good enough job for a team in the div's bellow (because thats where is normally is)to think you can help them out of their current situatuion is a buzz.

It's just a shame they don't know the truth, that things trnd to get worse before getting better.
