Since my last 01-02 savegame crashed a few days ago, I decided to give CM4 (EP4) another go. However, I haven't found it that easy as others seem to have. Granted, the other teams players all have "very poor" morale, but it doesn't seem to have any particular effect on my team's eforts. I am 9 games into the season, and my record reads 4-4-1, and the biggest victory so far is a 3-0 thumping over Exeter at home, and that was probably (and hopefully) more due to the fact that I had three of the best players on my team come back from injuries, and that I had fiddled a bit with my tactics. The rest of my wins were 3-1 at home, 1-0 away and 2-1 at home. I'm not scoring many goals, my goal difference is 12-6.
So the question is, does the morale bug really have that big of an impact in EP4, or is it just down to me and my team being not-so-good? What are your experiences of it?
~I've noticed when i string together a few wins then they all end up with good moeale but then I end up loosing and go back to square one again. I haven't found it easy to get big winning streaks, 6 unbeaten is my current longest. I had better ones with 01/02, but that just may be the teams i'm playing with.
How can it be a bug when they're releasing an "Enhancement Pack" to deal with it and not a "Patch" - SI are great and I want to have their babies.
And after having lost out on promotion via a bug (Sorry, opportunity) I've played another season with EP4 and lost out on promotion in the playoff semi-finals, so the season with EP4 was actually worse than the one with EP3......
