They won't, Nobby. They just don't understand that LLM is more than just picking a Team from a Lower Division.

Hopeless.

So, as someone who has spent a lot of time in "tactics tipping" (never looked at GPG though), if I wanted to play LLM could I use a default tactic unmodified? That's what I've been doing with my "get Oxford out of debt campaign." For training I use a schedule devised by my high school basketball "worst coach ever."

Will this work, or am I forever ****?

As long as you don't use any tactics or training regimes from the tactics & tipping forum then it's all right to chop and change at your leisure, any manager is perfectly entitled to do that. Frank and his llamas frown on anyone using known game beaters however.
And because you've posted in the tipping forum in the past doesn't mean you won't be welcome here, llamas would consider you have 'seen the light' as it were. It's plurks like Zero/10 and Andrew Dumbo Jones who combine LLM with GPG and Tactics & Training tipping that don't get taken seriously and receive a deserved flaming.

No danger of that, then. I've always just started with a pretty vanilla tactic and adjusted for my "star" players. I pretty much ignore the killer tactic threads except to laugh at the marketing behind them.

I'll stick with my "basketball coach" training regime, as it will be interesting to see if my players start strangling their coaches!

Cheers and thanks. I'll catch up on the latest in llama land when I'm back from vacation in a couple of weeks.

I'll explain the training thing a bit more. (I don't think there's anyone here would even consider adopting it in any case.) I had a basketball coach a few years back who convinced the school administration that he was a basketball genius who would propel our school to the heights of our conference. Within 10 minutes of our first practice, however, it became apparent that he knew almost nothing about the sport. Our practices (training sessions) were little more than one hour of sprints, followed by one hour of scrimmage, followed by another hour of sprints.

We wound up being the best conditioned 0-18 team in the state! The funniest part was that he wound up getting the sack for getting a cheerleader pregnant!
