I've just been reading the "OK, what is everybody playing thread", and seen that a couple of people got flamed a week or so ago for posting in other forums (fora ?....whatever). I regularly read (and sometimes post) in GQ4, Your Shout and dare I say GPG, and I've also seen a number of the regulars and semi-regulars in there.
Is there any difference between lurking and posting in these other fora ?
I generally have 2 games on the go at any one time - One a LLM game abiding by all of the LLM rules and regs, and another with my favourite team (clue's in the name) who are certainly not LLM (this season anyway ), and I don't approach the game in an LLM way, buying who I can and who I know to get them as high as possible. However, and here's the important bit, the two games are completely separate, and I don't use knowledge from the EPL game, or past games, to influence the LLM game.
We all know the best cheap lower league players from CM0102 (Foot appendage fortified wine anyone ??), if not in CM4 yet, but we choose not to use them. Does the same theory of Chinese Walls not apply to which fora you lurk/post in. If your own conscience is clear, surely there's no problem.
All thoughts welcome

Would you not be interested in playing with the big team if you supported said team ?
As for posting in other forums - If you're asking for players, tactics etc, then I'd agree with you, but if you're providing the info, and as long as it's not in LLM I don't see the harm.

I've haven't managed Man United since 97/98, obviously I'd jump at the chance if I'd worked my way up... although I've been tempted :/
I really don't want to know any of the 'cheat' players or super-tactics for CM4 at all, even though you can ignore them, it spoiled a proper LLM game for me on 01/02 anyway (that might be just me though, but I certainly don't go to GPG and TT).

Not really. Once you've read about players or certain tactics, it's the same effect.
Having said this I browse GQ3 a bit, trying my best to avoid any player-tipping threads, but obviously I'll see a few names. You just need to buy players the correct way and it shouldn't be a problem.

What about the GQ forums and CMS? Plenty of players and tactics(albeit rough descriptions) get named in those.
Like I said earlier, I think they're ok as long as you continue to buy players in the right ways, and stick to your own tactics.

It's OK reading & posting in CM3/4 fora & CMS, as whilst they don't enforce the player naming, tipping rules et al like we do, there can be some good threads in there and you can skip by the ones that player name.
Whilst we posters here are happy to take on people who used to be regulars in GPG and tactics tippings but now play and post the LLM way (and there are quite a few here now), there is no way in hell that you can combine the two together, it's like chalk and cheese.
Like Rek said, you're either LLM or you're not. You can't choose to be one one day and the other the next.

If you play CM in the LLM Spirit, then you're LLM. If you have to come in here and justify the way you play LLM, then you're not.
It's that simple.
As Rek says, it can't be turned on and off, it's not just playing with a LL Team, it's more than that.
Playing CM in the LLM Spirit says a lot about the way you live your life.
Cheat or take the easy way out in CM, and you'll probably see nothing wrong in dodging your way through life.
The bottom line is, real LLMers know who the real LLMers are, and nothing you can say or do will persuade us otherwise.
We know....

I was once one of the heathens I used to browse the lower depths of GPG and tipping, I once even brought a magazine for the player guide in it... but now REJOICE FOR I AM SAVED, the lord hath shown me the way and brothers, I THANK HIM FOR IT EVERY DAY. Never again could I play with the devils teams, unless they have fallen far enough to be touched by the lord and I am thankful for it.

The biggest team I ever managed was coventry when I first started playing CM but since then it has been ll teams. As others have said it's not just about who you play with but how you play the game. If you want to play the llm then you need to stear clear of anything that might trip you up!!
you don;t get many alcholics going to the pub, just to give others infromation (except G.Best)(hope that wasn't naming).
it's hard enough trying to stick to your llm guns without seeing the tasty bits offered by the lesser fourms.
(I added to a thread about some young US guy once, but only to say people were spending too much time discussing if god really did exist)
I'm not claming to to be a llm god, I just try dam hard to play the purest game I can, and I know the best place to post is here.
it's like marrage you still get in the **** even if you were only looking!!
