Default Left Backs to spare but no central defenders

I started a new game last night in Yugoslvia at Bokelj(courtesy of Frank) and I found that the ousted manager had left with two central defenders, one of whom was 15 years old and without the tackling gene. With only a few weeks to go before the transfer shedule, and with my wages limit already exceeded, drastic measures were neeeded to alleviate this problem. When I was on EP3, and trying to manage in Hongkong, I had a similar problem. Has anyone else noticed this.

I started in Yugoslavia and have a centre-back problem too... had to bring in a couple....

I don't think they have random positions set (usually you can tell) when you have a DL with strikers attributes...

Spot on though, adds to the challenge ! You wouldn't want to walk into a job and have nothing to do before the season started now would you ?!

Nope re-read that about a dozen times and I still don't understand it. Maybe it was the "end of evening whiskies" I drank last night...

I can't say I've ever had that problem, but I suffer constantly with a shortage of left sided players.

Not for me...

At Rimini I had a quality left back who stayed a regular all the way up to Serie A, before being pinched by Lazio... Similar in my Scandanavian LLM game with two clubs, and now in CM4 I have a good 'un, and my best youngster is also a left back !

Need a MR really...

I reckon it wouldn't hurt much to play the DL in the central position, then.

Whenever I come across 'out-of-place' players, as in defenders with forward attributes, I would put them in the forward slot. I think that this is just logical, though.
