Default Hungary for LLM

This is my first LLM and I hope I have done everything correct I have been a long time lurker so I have excuse really.
I’ve loaded all leagues from England, Spain, Italy, France, Germany, Portugal, Holland, Belgium, Hungry, and Romania. I couldn’t get on the internet to consult frank so I pressed random till I got a suitable team so here goes

Bőcs - Hungarian Division II East 07/08

Long term aim: Title challengers in 2 years
Short term aims: Mid table

5 players in, 2 on loan (these players came in January as I dint have a scout at the beginning of the game)
13 players released

A injury crisis led to a poor start in the league. I headed into the winter brake mid table. The signing’s brought in over January gelled immediately and I started to rise in the league. I never threatened top, who ran away with the league, but I did well enough to make the bored believe I was challenging for the league.

Final position : 4th
Hungarian Cup: 3rd round (what the bored wanted, in fact the kept telling me how delighted they were for me to get this far, despite all I had to do was beat two non-league sides)
FPOY: Club legend Striker (he’s the only player on their fav personnel, which is odd because his is first season for the club). He was also top goalscorer.

Unfortunately finances went down and before I knew it I was 50k in the red (that’s a lot in Hungary)

Bőcs - Hungarian Division II East 08/09

The board gave me a new contract, but took away my transfer budget and reduced my wage budget.

Long term aim: Title challengers in 2 years
Short term aims: Challenge for the title

1 player in (a 37 year old goalkeeper on a free)
2 Sold (I made a cool 2K)
3 released

If I thought I had a injury crisis last season I was wrong. I had 9 players injured at one point and started playing my youth team. Despite this I found myself in a good position at the winter break. When the league started up again I had a full squad and started to push on up the league. Unfortunately my form didn’t last and I couldn’t keep up my title push.
Final Position: 4th[/B] (again)
Hungarian Cup: 3rd round[/B] (again)
FPOY: Striker/coach who joined last January. Also top goal scorer

Finances improved slightly, only 45k in the red.

Bőcs - Hungarian Division II East 09/10[/B]

The board offered me a new contract but I turned it down to keep my options open.

Long term aim: Title challengers in 2 years (this didn’t change despite 2 years passing)
Short term aims: Challenge for the title

3 players in (one on loan)
2 players out (another 2 k gained)
5 released

Just before the season started I checked why team report from assistant. He basically told me my team was utter carp. I had no money to do anything about this I just got on with it. It seems that may players really go down hill quickly, and only have a season life of one or two. The 37 year veteran goalkeeper (now 38) for example was now utter tosh, so I gave him the boot and signed a younger goalie on a free, who is vaguely better then what I already had. Despite having my best start to a season as Bőcs manager it all fell apart. By winter I was just off the relegation zone. A timely team meeting saved me from relegation and I moved p the table. I was constantly being told that I was going to get the boot, but 3 wins in my last game just about saved my job.
Final Position: 8th
Hungarian Cup: 3rd round
FPOY: ST, a different on from the last two winners. Unsurprisingly he was also top scorer

Finances down to minus 75K

The bored offered me a new contract, which I renegotiated from two years to one. A lack of money and the fact my players are getting shitter means I don’t think I can achieve anything with Bőcs but I want out give it go.

Around the world:
England beat Spain to win Euro 08.
Liverpool won the Premiership twice.
Espanyol won the Primera Liga.

Everything else is as it should be.

I was distracted by the amazing transfer window.

I think the game wasn’t sure what to do with Euro 08. England vs. Spain, it was the game of underachievers (Spain) vs. highly overrated (England)

Nice, Hungary

KUTGW!

As a Hungarian asst. researcher I have to say that the Bőcs board is a bit too ambitious. They are a mid-table 2nd Div. team for some years now, but they will never really have a chance for a promotion.

BTW Bőcs has a population of a whopping 2800, and it's famous for it's beer brewing factory.

Thats great, i did wiki the place to try and learn something, but it just tells me:
Bőcs is a village in Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén county, Hungary.

Just re-doing the kit section in Hungary

Actually their away kit is really random. It can be all black, green and even black and yellow stripes too.

More on Bőcs:

The other sport in the village is handball. Team is from Borsod as wiki states, which is one of the heavy industry areas in Hungary. The local big team is DVTK, but BÅ‘cs is geographically close to the big(gish) team of NyÃ*regyháza too. BÅ‘cs sometimes play their home games in the stadium of DVTK, this applies when their tiny ground is considered not secure enough for hosting big away teams (like Ferencváros).

Is that not same as their home kit or is FM lyimg to me. Must re find their website and look.

Thanks for the info on the city/team. I find it really adds to the game if you know something about the club.

I have to say Ferencváros are pain. They have spent two seasons in my division and not lost a single game. I notice that West Brom's Hungarian midfielder played for them.

All i know about Hungarian football is what I have read in Football Against the Enemy, and Behind The Iron Curtain. I'm going to have to dig them out and re-read them, me thinks.

And they weren't promoted in the first season?

Anyway, KUTGW.
