In my first game with Leeds, -15 and all, I got them promoted straight up to the championship first go. Then I got them from the championship to the Premiership in two seasons. But in my first season up in the top echelon I'm rooted to the bottom of the table and no matter what tactic I use I get dominated an every game and obviously beaten. I've been promoted before and never had this much trouble. I know the whole "use one tactic" thing but nothing works.
I've a decent squad with a couple of wonderkids who I think are good enough to get mid table. I was wondering had anyone else had this experience.
I'm back to try and haul myself off the bottom. If I didn't love this game I'd hate it, if you know what I mean.

For the last several versions, kids have been much more susceptible to the effects of "poor morale" - if you're in a relegation battle, you're best to employ veteran players with high Determination, Work Rate, Team Work, and a "Professional" mentality description. This type of player will be most likely to resist the negative effects of a losing streak.

The good news is, if you can string a couple of wins together, your kids should also be extra-susceptible to the positive effects of Morale. In other words, your team will be very prone to streakiness if you employ a bunch of youngsters.

I imagine that Paul Jewell feels the same as Neilmag.

I'd agree with the veteran influx being needed in my team but found it hard to get decent players of that age. Plus I prefer signing younger players and watching them develop.

I got relegated and Bates left. The new chairman has given me a chance and I have to get straight back up and with my squad I should easily. Its started well and I'm top. Marching on...

Try and get some prem players over 32+ in your squad now and let them tutor your younger players so they will be more prepared for prem life. Having the olders sitting on your bench can still help the team have a proffesional experienced mentality.
