Hi there, I'm wondering if anyone's had a similar struggle. I'm playing as Tottenham in my game right now, and in an attempt to bring in a quality left midfielder, I signed someone as a Key Player for the third largest wage on the team (behind the twin wage juggernauts of King and Berbs). Since then, I've played him in virtually every game, and always in a ML position.
However, at some point he got a slight concern, that being the one mentioned in the thread title. He also had one about how I spoke to the players on match day, but that disappeared very quickly, but this other concern still remains. I brought him as a key player, I play him as a key player... the only other variable I can imagine is that he is natural at AML/AMC, but I generally play him at ML (with a farrow to AML). Would that bother him?
I tried searching the site as well as googling this, but didn't find much information of note. Can anyone give me some tips?

unusual that. only ever seent hat come up when you change a newly-signed player's squad status, or when you transfer list someone who's just been brought to the club...

It's really weird but I offered him a new contract, with nothing changed except one more year added to his contract... not even a signing bonus or anything. He took it, and now his little "Slt" is gone! Very weird.

New contracts always get rid of a player's problems. Other than that, I'd recommend praising him sometimes in the media; he seems to think he is not a big part of the team. Some players are just a bit erratic.

What was his squad status?
If it was rotation or less, then this would account for it.

He was bought to a fairly well known club, under the impression that he would be playing in a good, title pushing team, but when he arrives, he realizes that, to escape relegation would be considered a good time

- player injured, missed several games while listed with an "orange" injury.
- player fatigued, missed a "big game" such as a Cup Final or Semi-Final, a European match, or a derby rivalry such as Arsenal, Chelsea, etc.
- player frequently starts but plays just 45-70 minutes instead of lasting all 90.
I don't think he's missed a single game, due to fatigue OR injury... and he's played 90 minutes in all of the games but two, both of which he was taken off with under 10m left (this is out of about 15 games)
- player has had a run of great form, e.g., 7.60 - 8.00 average rating, but hasn't been given any individual praise in either team talks or media.
This is possible, I haven't picked him out for praise despite playing pretty well. I dunno if we was ever up to 7.6 but at one point he went 8-8-8-6-7 and i didn't say anything. I think I was busy criticising Robinson.
- player thinks he should have been named captain but wasn't.
