Can scouts be sent to competitions? (African Cup of Nations etc)

Yeah I've never seen the option on FM... is there some way to do it?

Don't think so, i keep wanting to send my scouts to U19 and U21 tournaments, but i just can't find a way to

Assuming the competition has started or is about to start, you do something like:

Scout > new assignment > competitions > African Nations.

Yes you can.
You go to scouting and assign and competitions.

Yes - forgot to mention - this was as chelsea on a previous save.

Your board has to allow you to scout those areas.... since they never seem to allow you to scout outside your nation, the answer is prolly no.
