Has anyone managed to achieve promotion in their first season as Burnley on fm07? If so what tactics did you use who did you buy sell etc. I'm finding t very hard this time round to get Burnley up in the first season, I have no patience to play more than 2 seasons in the Championship I want Burnley up there with the big guns quick as possible! It was always possible in the older versions to get Burnley top 6 premiership within around 5 seasons, and with them having a decent start in real life I thought it would be again but the best I've managed is 9th in my first season. Either I'm rubbish or its just hard to do first season in, so any advice for any other Burnley fans would be great because I just can't seem to play as any other team I get bored quickly as anyone else.

Burnley are a load of rubbish. They will never get promoted. Any player they buy turns to crap. If they bought rooney, he would overnight lose all skill and develop bad BO. Manage a decent team like Blackburn and stop wasting everyones time about a team called burnley who were only put in fm07 at the last minute cuz the researchers had forgot about them.

Though I am not a Burnley Fan, I managed them and finished 10th in first season, I was in top 2 up until November and was never in the bottom half. Bought some decent players in the summer and after 4 games of 2nd season I'm sat bottom with no points or goals . Not played the game since to be honest.

dogs thats exactly what happened in my game! As for Blackburn I really hope they go down this year. they bought the premiership in 95 with Jack Walkers millions and now they are just a dirty team with no skill whatsoever.

3 wins in a row for blackburn, at this stage they have 2 less points than they did last season at the same stage and they finished 6th.
