OK, i've been very frustrated with my youth players not developing to their full potential with all the money going into them every game i start new or club i take over.
I always use my general starting 11 for every game, except for cup games when facing championship or lower teams i will bring in 3-4 youth players who has excellent potential. But my question is, how do i develop these youngsters into becoming leading stars dont they have to play certain amount of games or every game to maximise their potential like wayne rooney or chris ronaldo or many other leading stars have?
Please help me or share your training strategy for youngers.
BTW, i have develop several players who are in demand by several top leading clubs, only 19 year olds. the main problem is for them to becoming leading stars. as they cannot come in as my starting 11
I'm not an expert on this, but I do know that the best way to improve your youth players, once you have good coaches and facilities, is to give them playing time. They can only get so much better in training, or even on loan if the loaner club is significantly worse than your own club (i.e., the player is not really being challenged at that lower level.)
If you already have a starting XI that you don't want to change, then your strategy is not really designed to bring up youth players. Sell them on, let them get better at another club, and bring them back in later on if they develop well.

Alot of people dont do the last step = Playing time. You can have the best facilties, the best coaches will only prepare the player they wont develop him.
Youth players with potential my advice is this -
Age v Physical conidtions - if they have good physical stats then say 12+ then try and give them 10-15 matches a year for a 17-18yr old 15+ for 19 and above.
Techincal Players - be patient and dont rush them in, especially if they have low physical stats and Bravery, if you do it will mean damaged goods.
Training them well's part of it but as mentioned, giving them time on the pitch, even if these playing spurts aren't very long, take how Theo Walcott's being treated by Wenger at Arsenal as an example, are incredibly useful in aiding with a young player's development.
