Team-

Man Utd 1st March 2008.

First team is the same as normal with Ribery on the wing instead of Giggs and Ronaldo on the left.

In my first season I won the Premiership and now I hardly win a game. In my first season I did not touch the Tatics tab or anything.

Now I have changed the following-

Changed training schedules to the ones that Cleo mentioned in his Sheiffield United thread.

Downloaded and used- Crazy's 4-2-2-2 Version II tatics.

Thats about it, so far I have won 10, drawn 7 and lost 10.

What is going on? Is it a bug? I cant understand how I am losing so bad after 1 season.

Otherwise I have won the League Cup! And I am doing well in all the Cup Leauges.

Is it scripted?

I would say what you are doing wrong is using a downloaded tactic.

FM has evolved far too much now for a tactic designed around a different set of players to work for a different set of tactics.

Additionally and perhaps even more importantly, by using someone elses tactic, you have no idea as to how it was really designed to play, or how to alter it when things are going wrong.

Designing your own tactic is the only way forward in my opinion

I designed my own tatic and it failed miserably!

I feel very paranoid that my tatic is causing these losses. But I just drew against Dynamo Kiev in the Champions leauge, despite losing against Preston 1-0.

I have a feeling something is scripted.

I edit the tatics to suit player needs, for example Carrick's passing is set to mixed as he is a important team passer.

But I dont mess with the "TEAM TATICS"

Funnily enough I think you actually make the game more difficult by playing with a club like Man U, as you are under pressure to be winning all the time.

The best way to develop a better understanding of the game is to try playing with either a lower league team or a team with low expectations, that way you can take the time to develop a tactic.

I'm sure a lot of people feel the game is cheatinf them or scripted as you put it, but I don't for one minute believe it is, if you get your tactics and other elements of the game right, the results will come.

Try to stick with your own tactics, because if you keep downloading you will simply never really gain any knowledge and understanding of the game

I wouldnt mind doing that, but to be honest the game I am playing now is my first game and I am trying to learn my way through, then I am going to start again with my "proper" team.

I feel it is kind of scripted, as now I am doing really well in the FA Cup, won the Leauge Cup and Im facing Inter next in the Champions Leauge.

Its the first tatic I have downloaded and I just use them for the "TEAM TATICS" section. The "PLAYER TATICS" I edit myself to suit the player needs which I read in the Tatics bible thread.

Question-

Before a match, when they say for example "Owen will be a threat, or Gerrard will be a threat" How do I act to this?

How do I mark these players?
