I have recentley started again with man utd and have been playing 4-4-2 but recentley my form has gone and my tactics too.Now i need some new tactics and a good formation any ideas to help?

Hi, try these tactics to see if they work for you.

play 4-4-2 attacking and set the following tactics to the certain players.

Back 4 - keep them all ultra defensive playing only long balls out of defense

Left & Right Wingers - set them to the highest creativity individually possible. Make sure that they have good crossing & dribbling attributes (say 15 or more)

Central midfielders - i usually have one of my midfielders set to play more defensive than the other one (usually a MC,DMC) and have them to have good tackling, positioning, teamwork as well (usually 15 or more). the other central midifelder is an AMC with good passing, creativity, flair and long shots - i set this midfielder to the highest individual creativity possible.

Strikers - Both need speed, finishing, composure, heading and acceleration (all above 15 if possible). Make one of them your target man and use the 'Run onto ball' target man option. both strikers also need to be set to the highest indivual creativity poossible.

Hopefully using this your strikers and midfielders start shooting and scoring a lot more due to their creativity being used, and your wingers and defenders start getting a lot more assists from their passes.

BTW i won the champions league six years in a row at one point, before even starting to use this more attacking style of play.
