Tactics & Training Tips

It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

Tactical Formation

The tactic is a 4-4-1-1 formation.

The tactic was originally created with my Newcastle team who I spent 5 years with winning the Euro Cup. Then Manchester Utd came in for me and I decide to join them.
From here I had another look at the tactic and changed it to what it looks like now.

The main changes:-

Changed arrows on wingers and attacking midfielder, I also added arrows to left back and right back.

Here is what the tactic looked like when I was in charge of Newcastle Utd

[IMG:left] [/IMG]

I have put short forward arrows on the right back and left back to make them get forward more and provide me with width, the right centre midfielder has a back arrow to the middle of the defensive midfield position and the left centre midfielder has an arrow going straight up to the attacking midfielder area. There are long forward arrows on the wingers that end in the box, the attacking midfielder has an arrow to the centre of the box and the forward is on the left hand side. You will be able to see better by the diagram I have provided.

Style of play

I built the tactic in the hope that i could dominate teams as well as create plenty of chances but also be tight at the back. It is an attacking formation. It is also quite a possession-based tactic as my players see a lot of the ball.
The whole team has some form of closing down to try and win the ball back ASAP.
Basically I tried to create a tactic that would dominate home and away that I wouldn't need to tweak this is mainly due to that I like just to have one tactic I do not like to keep swapping tactics.

Tweaks

No matter who I play I never tweak the formation

The tactic has been working progress for one season now second season i feel it is ready for those who like to test other tactics out.

I have only used the newest version of this tactic with Manchester Utd. So testers would be great.

First Season with Manchester Utd I won the league and the league cup. I lost in the final of FA Cup to Chelsea 3-2.

One thing to note I inherited the Manchester Utd team so I had to work with the players I had plus bring in the players I wanted. Also Manchester Utd could only participate in the League, League Cup and FA Cup.

So Second Season is going well I am still in all competitions, I have just won league cup again. I am sitting at the top of the league by 12 points with a game in hand.

I won the Charity Shield against Chelsea

League Cup against Blackburn
