eccentric is like how often they do crazy things. if a player has a low eccentricity stat then he is quite a calm player but someone with a high eccentricity stat eg lehman do crazy things like pushing players around and doing really outragous saves etc its quite hard to explain
An interpretation is that a more eccentric goalkeeper is unpredictable. It can work both ways.He can be absolutely fabulous on a day and on another would give it all away
A further one that i read was that an eccentric keeper is more likely to do sweeper keeper at the extent of his rating[leaves open goal]
It does work both ways as said above but if you come down to it, its always best to have a GK with lowish eccentricity. I dont like them to have it very low (ie, below 5) but I also dont like them to have it above 10. Anything between those two numbers will do for me. Dont ask me why, but I just prefer it that way.
When thinking of eccentric goalkeepers I always think of Fabien Barthez and although Barthez was a tremendously talented goalkeeper he used to make ridiculous mistakes due to that eccentricity (or stupidity) that Sunday league GK's wouldn't make. Overall, i'd say that a highly eccentric goalkeeper is more of a negative than a positive. But it can also make them more capable of brilliance on occasion also (Higuita for example). You have to take the rough with the smooht if you have an eccentric goalkeeper I suppose.
