hi all, this is my first post here, but im a long time lurker.
my question is if any of you have had any luck getting your stadiums capacity increased? i played a 3rd division club for 8 years, and despite getting large crowds, even 90% for an entire season, i could never get my owner to expand the stadium, he would always shine me on.

1 more question. in the FA cup do the teams split the gate recipts? is this also in the league cup?

about how much money does it take to expand the stadium? and how much does it expand at a time? and is it true you need 90% capacity filled before he will expand the grounds?

It all depends on how many seats the stadium is expanded by as to the cost, and the number of seats is determined by the money you have (I think), and I'm not sure about the cost per seat.

As well, sometimes it's more than 90%, sometimes it can be less, though that's rare.

However, even if the board chooses to expand, the local government can veto it for various reasons. I've had that happen more than once, let me tell you.

CM3 worked on roughly 1000 pounds per seat. Haven't a clue what CM4 is, as my present stadia is 15,000 and currently there are 9 free seats for every one with a bum attached to it.

Managing Atletico Bembibre in Spain with awful facilities and a 2000 seater stadium, it took until we got promotion to Division 1 to get the bank balance above 0 so the club would expand either the facilities or the stadium.

And this was despite the fact that the gate is always 1950-2000 in a 2000 seat stadium

Now they have promised to expand both, but am I right in thinking that it will only happen at the next June 19th update thing? As they indicated they were investing in August and it's now November and nothing's happened.

Surely it has to be 6000 to be promoted to the third division or are you talking about your crowd size

No, I got promoted with Margate. They have around 5700 capacity, one(!!) seated. Wonder what lucky bast@rd that is LOL

The chairman probably, I just wondered because in my game in 00/01 when i was promoted to division three i got a message saying my ground had to be brought up to the minimum capacity
