I know the use of editors is strictly forbidden but what about the use of third party data updates? Are they allowed and if so which one is the best to use? I figured having all the players on the right teams might be the way to go before I start my career. Thanks for reading

Nope. Not LLM. Have a read at the Guidelines for the reasons. Under "3rd Party Updates".

Thing is, apart from the Guidelines, What's the first thing you do when you take over a new Team? Buy new players. By its' very nature an update is out of date as soon as you start a new game.
