I agree with you here - if someone WANTS tips or help, this is the place to ask, no? If people doesn't want to help, don't reply - let those who wants to help do it instead.
However, you DID get some (more or less) helpful replies

Just a few tips to get you started;

Try to get rid of no-good players as soon as possible, I sometimes even give them away just to get below the wage budget. By all means stay below your wage budget, so your finances will improve (otherwise the board will get mad if you don't produce good results).
Sign free players in the beginning of the game, you might not get many, but it's worth a try. Try to concentrate on getting a good goalie and striker first.
Look for key skills when picking your team (like tackling and heading for stoppers) - a player with OK skills, but bad position-based skills is not good.
Stick with 1-2 coaches, 1 physio and 1-2 scouts in the beginning. Use the scouts wisely, they'll discover talents and good players that wont show up on the transfer screen.
Concentrate on tactics. Before every game, check your players' skills, and set their individual instructions correctly. Pay attention to their stats after games, and see what you can improve in your tactic.

Good luck and welcome to LLM

I'm a new broom style coach. I usually begin by finding new talent and sacking anyone in my current squad who doesn't look up to it. No reputations, no favours. If I move from one club to another, I try to cherry pick the best players from my former club. I only worry about tactics, training and all the rest once my initial recruiting drive has been conducted. I've always found recruiting and contract management the most fun aspect of any football manager game, so it's always been what I concentrate on most.

I have a similar attitude to RPGs - I'm always the dwarf with the double handed axe. No subtlety.

Why I otta have you whacked ya fargin icehole!

Have a look at your tactics. Are you doing anything that might be more suited to good players that can actually play? I would stick to basic stuff, nothing too clever or fancy.

Have you watched a game of Lower League football? If you have, try out the tactics that you think that they are using. If not get your arse down to a soccer pitch with a pencil and paper and take a few notes.

We don't tip around here, so I'm sticking my neck out for you telling you even this much.

Text speak? No way. It was my update on rushden with no punctuation. A bit like this;

just won promotion with rushden top of the league got to fa cup 6th round but got beat by chelsea bought a couple of players for 4 million pound not bad so i should cruise the 3rd division 2nd division and 1st division

Something along those lines.

Has anyone else noticed this guy is from the same home town as OFBG?

Sounds like a great place to live...

"Today, the city of South Euclid is primarily a residential community of owner occupied single-family homes. The latest census lists its population as 23,537, 24% of whom are over 60 years old and 23% of whom are under 18. The city is home to three retail shopping centers, a branch of the Cuyahoga County Public Library and a variety of churches and synagogues. Ninety-eight percent of the city's 4.67 square miles is developed and 40 acres of land are dedicated to city parks. Recreational facilities include four municipal parks (Bexley, Quarry North, Quarry South and Victory), one Metropark (Euclid Creek Reservation), three swimming pools, baseball and softball diamonds, fitness trails, picnic areas and tennis courts."

Seems to me like Antonin has lost most of his toys from his pram.
