After the demise of my Turkish game which I won't go into cause I am stilled ****ed about it, I'll thought I'd go back to the bossom of LLM.

Been a while since I have played here. Can anyone tell me what requirements are for Conference teams getting a run in the Vans Trophy? Top four/six at a certain time of the season?

I think its invitation only, as long as their stadium comes up to League specifications (IRL)

I think top 8 in the final standings.
I wasn't in it for my 1st Moor Green season, finished 4th and was the next if it's any help.

It doesn't give you any special entry to a european cup competition, but it is nice to win some trophies and that includes the Vans Trophy for me.

At present Merk I need all the money I can get. In a nasty bit of receivership, and any money big or small is going to help.

Depends which version you are playing...
In CM3 it is indeed the top 8 Conference teams from the previous season.
However, they changed the rule for the follow when expanding the competition and CM4 sees the first season of that change, when the previous season's top 16 enter it.
They then split North and South, so it's feasible although unlikely, that all 16 Conference teams could end up in the same section.

I hate the Vans trophy. It gets in the way of real trophies like the FA trophy

Nobby, I think it is only twelve, but the clubs have to meet League regulations for hosting games (notably the ground), so qualifiers went all the way down to 16th. I don't think you'll see Forest Green, for example, in the competion this season even though their finish would qualify them for it.

And could someone confirm/correct me here.
