No.
That was some rant, Alex. There isn't much to say now really except the rules are there for a reason, when someone points out the rule no editing, it means no editing of any kind. So not just a quick edit to turn chelsea into a russian revolution. Sigames have researchers worldwide, i take it you don't? No way is it going to be realistic.
That didn't really need saying but after reading this whole thread i think i deserve to give my tuppence worth. The bottom line is, if you don't like the rules, then don't play by them. When you do this however, you don't use this forum. Simple.

I'm not questioning so much your ethics in doing all this but your sanity. Why would you go through all this trouble and try to turn time forward a year? It can't be done. You can approximate it but what on earth for?
A LLM game is usually long-term, and after 2-3 seasons already you won't care anymore about realistic squads anyway. It's not such a bad rule to follow, you give up that little but gain so much.
If you need another good reason for the strict ban, besides the slippery slide effect, then keep in mind that rules should be kept simple so everybody can follow them without having to consult a 40-page constitution listing all rules and their exceptions. The fewer the rules and the simpler they are the better.

Crikey!! That boy types alot, coulda gone up 2 divisions in the time it took to read that (even at my terrible rate of play)
Quote by Alex-sKIp_E "Playing CM, SHOULDNT be about playing in a particular style. It should be about playing the most REALISTIC management game possible. Im sure that this is actually what LLM is all about aswell, and for that reason, Id rather play my game, than confirm to the rules of LLM"
PLAYIN CM is about playing the most realistic management game. LLM is about playing IT realisticly. There's a big difference.
Please, don't 'confirm' (it's conform) to the rules of LLM and please shut the door on your way out.

Alex,
CM4 is a game that is very hard to be balanced. You change a value in the code slightly, and BOOM! -the whole game goes to hell.
The research teams worldwide and the SI team themselves do their best to make the game as realistic and balanced, prophetic and interactive at the same time, as possible. It ain't easy.
There are a lot of imperfections that cause the game to lose its balance within certain situations. I can clearly see why the changes you have made WILL imbalance it even further.
Future transfers that have not been tested by SI will clearly lead to some teams behaving in a very unrealistic manner, because the teams' new situation has not been tested by the experts. So situations that should have had a very low probability of arising may become very common news for you. And worst of all, it's gonna be your fault.
Imagine this. A painter uses a beautiful woman as a model to create a painting, a beautiful one. It's actually a masterpiece. You buy the painting, but draw over some of the woman's characteristics. For whatever reason, the woman looks more realistic to you (NOT me) now, but the painting not worth a penny any more.
The idea of never EVER using an editor for my career games has grown on me with time. I cannot do without it now. It moreover helps all the members of this community to walk on common grounds and understand each other's game and troubles better.

Far too much to read, but I'm going to ask a question...
This Alex chap edits the game so he gets all the new transfers and promotions/relegations etc for the new season correct to make his game 'realistic'.
What about all the transfers that have been generated by the game's first season? That makes some players at wrong clubs. Doesn't this make Alex's game unrealistic, as some players won't be at the right club?
Also, the world stretches beyond the EPL, Nationwide, Serie A & B and La Liga. All remaining leagues are unrealistic too.
Fire = ****ed on. |

This is a good example of what happens when jaded zealots encounter a new, enthusiastic, yet somewhat misguided member of this forum.
The guy made a booboo, but got flames instead of explanations (by most members anyway).
Maybe an addendum to the LLM community-guidelines could be:
We are gentlemen, my fellow poofs. A rare kind, that play The Game as realistically as civil conduct will allow.
Let us treat those who don't share our views sternly, yet gentlemanly.
Unless they are of course obviously out to create trouble. Then the gloves come off. But this guy clearly wasn't.
