Sometimes i really do wonder (if somebody cares, of cause ), how is it possible to get to "27th season with..." and so on...
Maybe that's because of me using large database and all leagues turned on in full detail? Thus i have approximately one month in a week, sometimes faster.
I've took over Telford, and got some progress with them. I spent a lot of time learning my squad and potential signings (no-no, i'm not trying to be selfish ). The time goes slowly, and that's why i prefer not to just click 'Continue' and wait over again, but to spend some time on the above things. It's ok, or not?
The first season goes rather unpredictable. We wouldn't win the Conference, but surely will hit the play-offs. Mainly because i tried to run a succesfull cup chase. And now... it's a semi-final vs. Man Utd after beating Sunderland (2:0 H), Rushden (1:0 H, they've knocked out Arsenal) and Liverpool (2:0 H). My best friend is opposition players' jadeness and tireness . We won't win the Cup, i'm quite sure of it. As well as Conference. But maybe we'll get promoted... Just think of it - a Conference team playing in UEFA... With zero transfer budget...
What do you think of this? Is it still LLM'ing, or just another guy's self-praising blah-blah-blah? Never meant it, if you ask .

The very first season in the Conference, and FA Cup semi-final. I'm quite shocked at that myself :eek:
In CM 01/02 it was never possible, all you would get is another 10:0 outrage by some PRM team, but now... Again, i believe it's that "Jade" to blame for. Maybe not. And, surely, the seeding engine was on my side .
I played LLM in CM 01/02 a lot, and although it is quite difficult, I had several decent cup runs. I never reached the semi finals though while being in the conference, but in my Yeovil savegame, I reached the quarter finals, just to lose with a disappointing result vs. Div2 Wrexham (after eliminating Everton and Southampton in thrilling 2-legged matches). So I wouldn't say that it isn't possible in CM 01/02

I've had one 50 season game (Welsh foreground, 3 others background) and one 55 season one (English and Scottish on foreground) in CM01/02. Both probably took about 8-10 months to get that far.
I play CM a fair bit, but only 1 or 2 seasons a week (about 10-15 hours worth). My PC's only a P3 500mhz, so nothing special to say the least. A sturdy PC's much more important than a fast one.
I'm only 2/3 of the way through my first season, and my game time is 38 hours, 19 minutes !
I don't even have many leagues loaded up with only 7 divisions running (never seen the point, speed wise vs. enjoyment)...
I too like to go through every little detail, especially right at the start of the CM4 life... I'll probably speed up a fair bit when I get used to it.
