okay, started a new game. 1 coach, 1 scout, 1 halfdecent physio (stats for physio 15).
So I was checking for extra staff. Staff search, interested on yes. Scouts, well zero. okay. Physio's, well nill. hoped for better. Coaches, nobody on free transfer (Did I already mention I don't have a transfer budget?). So I check for Unemployed, Wooow some people interested and they all appear to be player / coaches. Well I could use a coach or two so I approach two of them and sign them on a player / coach contract. They arrive and their playing stats appear to be slightly decent, which means that they are the better players of the crop.
But do realise this is slightly (cough) against the rule of signing only players who has been scouted before. So I'm wondering how do the other managers deal with this?
And on a similar note: do you sign only staff from the country you're in that is interested or is any staff okay to approach as long as they are interested?
In my current game at Welshpool I signed two of those unemployed people on the staff screen. I had no goalies in my squad (well, I started with 4 non-grey players), so I think it was quite okay to sign anyone who could pull on those gloves. - Thus, I did not scout them.
