1) One promotion spot and then 4 playoff places
2) Fa cup and an Fa trophy is the two cups a conference team will be entered in (maybe VANS if your lucky)
3)every one loves Leigh RMI can't go wrong there.

1) How most leagues work. If you are top, you are promoted/win the title if you are bottom, you are relegated. It is differen with each league. Some leaggues have 3 automatic promotion places and 4 other teams compete in a competition to win promotion. Only 1 club wins the last promotion place. You will understamd when you play a season or two.
2) The cups in england are FA Cup, FA trophy, Vans Trophy and League cup. Only Nationwide and premiership teams are entered into the League cup. If you do well in the conference you are entered into the Vans trophy. All Division 3 teams are enetered. FA Cup, every team is entered and is the biggest cup in england. Fa trophy. Not too sure how it works and who is entered TBH. I say that all cups are important. Would rather have some trophies than no trophies.
3) If you are starting out and want a team to cut your teeth on try Hull in the 3rd division or Dag & Red in the conference. If you want a harder challenge, try Leigh RMI or Hereford.

2) FA Trophy, all non-League, including the Conference, are eligible.
More important, though. Cups are shÃ*te. They're unimportant, the only reason for winning the FA Cup is to get a place in the Uefa Cup if your Team's too crap to get into the Champions' Cup.
Go for promotion every time. Cups only tire out your players, so play has-beens, reserves and never-wases in the Cups.
Cups suck.
