All MLS were in the Open Cup this year. The teams that missed the playoffs in 2002 entered the cup in the 2nd round and all others entered in the 3rd round, IIRC. Columbus were entered into CONCACAF competitions this year as a result of winning the 2002 Open Cup.

BTW Shawn, I just returned to Michigan from vacation...including watching the Rapids at new Mile High on Saturday. Even put an extra $110 toward the rent (bought a jersey and a sweatshirt)

I've got tickets to see the Rapids and the Earthquake on October 10th. I hope it won't be the silly yellow lines they have in some stadiums when the No Fun League starts every year. That game could be interesting, Rapids have been playing well, and watching the Golden Boy is about as much fun as American Footy gets whether with the Nats or San Jose.
