All MLS were in the Open Cup this year. The teams that missed the playoffs in 2002 entered the cup in the 2nd round and all others entered in the 3rd round, IIRC. Columbus were entered into CONCACAF competitions this year as a result of winning the 2002 Open Cup.
BTW Shawn, I just returned to Michigan from vacation...including watching the Rapids at new Mile High on Saturday.
